Update (November 25)

1. We now have 15 teams slated for the 2nd Annual Panther Pride.
Salem V Salem JV
Abiding Savior V Abding Savior JV
Zion V Zion JV
St. Paul's V St. Paul's JV
St. John's V St. John's JV
Trinity, Whittier Trinity, Anaheim
Bethany, Long Bch. Christ, RPV
Hephatha, Anaheim

If you know of any other schools that might be interested, please encourage them to join us. We have room for two.

2. Sportsmanship: As stated before, there will be a Christian Sportsmanship Award.
  • This is what we must be about. Please take time to review with your players, coaches, and fans about the need for Christian Sportsmanship and teach them what it looks like. It starts with the coach.
3. Rosters and Fee: Please take care to send this immediately. (Thanks Bethany, Long Beach; Trinity, Whittier;) The one thing that I omitted from the registration sheet was a space for numbers. If you could include this, that would be appreciated. Otherwise the names will appear without numbers. I really need to have it by December 2 so that the programs can be assembled and ready for the 1st game. Thanks.

4. Updates: Last year, I sent updates by e-mail. This year I will be using my blog to update the tournament each day. http://www.pantherinvite.blogspot.com/. It is up and being maintained now.

5. Hospitality Suite: Last year we hosted a hospitality suite for the tournament. However, it was used very little and we had a lot of extra supplies. Therefore, we will not be hosting one this year. Coaches and Referees may get a drink from the snack bar (our complements) prior to a or following your game. Just let the concessionaires know.

6. I will have the tournament pairings and schedule to you by November 30.

Have a great weekend!

Dear St. Paul’s Family and Friend,

Greetings in the name of our risen Lord, Jesus Christ!

The Panther Athletic Program is excited to present the 2nd Annual Panther Pride Invitational Basketball Tournament for 7th and 8th grade boys’ teams from Lutheran Schools in Orange County as well as Lutheran and Christian Schools from around Southern California.
